2017 PGP Applicants

I received a number of emails with the confirmation I was selected to sponsor my parents.
I also sent my application on time and it is showed as received on July 28. However, my confirmation number is not listed on the online tool as part of the "selected" group.
Anyone has an idea why is that happening?

If you were selected in first batch that was in March-April time frame your number won't appear in selected list anymore. The list now only shows the results from second lottery that was held in July-August time frame.

My file was transferred to London Visa Office on May 11th 2017. Since then it only shows "Application Received", anyone else in same boat from LVO that still shows application received for second stage i.e. Permanent Residence Application Status

Hi There,

I received the Police certificates request today. I had applied for my parents in the first round. I have 2 questions.

1. Does everyone receiving medical and police certificate requests together or one by one?

2. My Dad is the principal applicant. only his UCID is active till now and showing the status of "APPLICATION RECEIVED". it is not showing any status for my mom, neither does my Mom UCID active till now. How can I confirm if they have included my Mom too in the application as a dependent. as the email requesting police certificate didn't mention anything too.

Isn't this supposed to take at least 36 months for parents sponsorship? If so, don't those police checks expire?

Congratulations, nice to see some movement which has been stagnant for almost 3 months in most cases from the first lot, after files are sent to LVO's ; hopefully others will start receiving similar requests. To answer your question, my guess is it must be for both your Mom & Dad. Any idea about medicals ?? Which office was your file sent to ?

Look like there is a complete silence after being forwarded to Ottawa. Any comments?

Regarding files selected by lottery for PGP 2017, No one knows what's happening after stage one (sponsors approval), files have been sent to LVO's - but no movement for last 3 months on anyone's file. Next step is call for medical & police clearance document; maybe there's a delay due to the second lottery draw...... but the LVO's should be working on the files already received by them, we have to wait and watch )

I got it too. for your q 2, I didn't check it but the letter you receive would clearly ask for police cert for your both parents.

They asked police certificate for all countries where parents lived more than 6 months since age of 18. For that, we may have to go back 20 to 30 years when he lived outside home country, Really or did I miss something. I obviously need to look at some threads but any help is apreciated

Police checks are only good for a year time. Isn't that so? If yes, are they processing 2017 apps out of queue or in a different system and faster than all other previous years?

2016 have the same package like 2017 but still many people are waiting PPR and even Medical
