Hello,

I wanted to renew my PR card asap however when I looked at the CIC website, there is a requirement for me to give "consent" to release of info from CRA to ICCRC so the latter can verify my residency and tax information.

Honestly, I have not filed my tax returns (during last 5 years). I've calculated that refunds are due me and since I actually do not owe anything to the government, I have taken my time with the filing and requesting for refund.

Now that I have a need to update my PR card urgently, this CRA requirement seems to be in the way of making a timely application for renewal.

Did you guys all have to update your CRA tax returns before you submitted your renewal?

Does anybody have a tip how I can meet this CRA requirement asap?

Hello guys
Landed on 9-9 and trying to access my PR status since that time but system is unable to find my status.
Is that normal ?
Secondly; if my wife and kid live there and got my citizinship while I am living in ny home country and four years passed out of five.Is there a chance to renew my PR as my wife and kid are citizen at that time ?

We received your application for a permanent resident card on July 11, 2016.
We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on August 17, 2016.
We started processing your application on August 17, 2016.

do you think I will get my card on time....
