hey guys

CAN YOU PUT A COLUMN IN THE SPREADSHEET WHICH TELLS YOU WHICH COUNTRY THE SPOUSE(PERSON BEING SPONSORED) IS RESIDING AND ANOTHER COLUMN FOR THE NATIONALITY OF THE SPOUSE (BEING SPONSORED)

People can add it to the comments at the end of their line if they wish :)

Hello!

Just wanted to share with you guys that my husband and I are now together!!
It's been a long journey of waiting and I am very happy that we will never have to say goodbye to each other again!

He got his Visa 4 days before my scheduled vacation to Thailand! Luckily, i was able to find the exact departure date going back to Canada for him! So, we ended up flying back to Canada together and arrived on Thanksgiving Night.. surprising my whole family!! It was indeed the happiest time to date! God is good! :-) Good luck to everyone who is still waiting and wish you guys all the best! I'd like to thank you guys too for all your help!

Congratulations ccastillo! What a nice surprise for your family! So glad that your application went smoothly and relatively quickly. I was right behind you as a January applicant but unfortunately wait time for our application for AOR2 was 6 days short of 6 months. Thankfully we are now fully in process and have the hope of landing in Canada by Christmas this year. God willing and CIC officers too! ;)

Kindest regards!

Hi Guys,

I had a question about medical. I have applied for visa in Jan. and the file was sent to India (and I guess Indians are not getting their visas yet) but the medical was done upfront in Sept. last year. Now I was wondering if it can expire and will have to do it again?
Is it like valid for one year only?
Also are we going to receive any letter from CIC or do we have to take the initiative and do it on our own?
I am really confused here and i don't want visa to be delayed just because of medical.

Also any indians out there? has anyone received visa or passport yet from Delhi?

Really appreciate your help guys.

Thanks,
AK

Yes the Medical are from one year. you can't do it on your own, you need to wait that they ask you to redo it.
I also hard that they have authority to extend them in some cases . meaning make it valid more than a year. but it will depends on how long your file goes.in most of cases they might ask you to redo. for indian News check the New Delhi Visas Office Forum.

Hey all first post and a little worried! I've done a lot of searching but maybe a formal answer would give me peace of mind! I think the following situation means my wife got approved but she just needs to receive the COPR and enter Canada by Dec 13?? (the online status doesn't say much)

My situation:

Submitted Spousal application: Jan 8, 2015
Office: Manila Office
Passport request: May 4, 2015

My wife got this e-mail on Oct 26, 2015:

"This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada.

Please be informed that your application has been finalized and the visa package was sent to you on 18 August 2015 to the following address:

XXXXXXXXX (My Vancouver address)

However, the package was returned to our office undelivered. Note that the visa validity is until 13 December 2015 only. Please provide our office with a reliable and complete address where we can send your visa package at the soonest possible time."

They sent a package to my home in Vancouver with my wife's name and cell phone on the package on Aug 18, 2015. I'm guessing because she's out of Canada, they called her phone and got no answer. (I have no concierge in my building).

When they refer to VISA is this the single entry Visa you get before you get your PR?

Your help would be much appreciated. If my assumptions are correct, we may need to buy a plane ticket and inform her current employer. I'm a little worried she won't get the letter before Dec 13!

Hello,

My husband received his PPR then the full package which included a one time entry visa, so he can travel to Canada and 2 copies of his residence papers. On his residence papers he has an expiry date of January 13th, which is what I assume Dec 13th is for you, so i think she definitely has to travel before this.

Hope this helps a little, Good luck!

Hi josayen,

Immigration visas are not renewable. So she has to enter canada before Dec 13.

Good day all . Please I would like to get information on the steps to process a Spousal sponsorship from Quebec. I am a permanent resident and I want to sponsor my husband. What are the forms to send to CIC for the sponsorship approval?
thank you

Thrilled to report that my wife finally received PPR yesterday, after 10 and a half months of processing time. The Mexico City VO extended her medicals for one year until December 01, 2016.

We expect to have passport with Visa and COPR in hand in a week or so.

Speedy Processing everyone!
