Hello!
I'm currently working as food service supervisor (NOC 6212)
Work permit will expire Jan 2015.
1. Can I still apply under fsw arrange employment?
2. Do I need to have job offer letter from my employer or my employment contract is already ok?
Hi Seaciel, not sure if you have already applied or not but I think the NOC 6212 does not exist anymore because the newest NOC Code has changed 6212 to 6311, so I think you will need to put 6311 instead of 6212 when you apply FSWP. Please refer to 2011 NOC code website, http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2011/QuickSearch.aspx?val65=6311
Ms. Reannox, one more question... I read someone here said we shall received an email from CIO state that our application has been opened and waiting in line to get check up, so your application has arrived to CIO for 2 months already. Have you ever received that email to inform you that ? :
Thanks Rimi, ms. Reannox, superman!
And congrats to you too Rimi!
I got copr and immigrant visa. It's valid until 1st July 2015 because my meds were done in July 2014.
We are planning to do our landing on our way back from vacation at the end of February because we don't want to get stuck between having landed and getting PR card as it becomes a complicated travel situation then.
Please I have a question. I am currently on a postgraduate work permit. I recently got a full time permanent job offer here in Canada and I have been working for 3 weeks.
My offer letter had the following written on it:
full time
permanent
my job title
Salary, pay day and benefit
the time I will be resuming and closing work (8am to 5pm) etc
The offer letter didn't have my job description and anything about Permanent Residency. So I asked my employer for a reference letter with job description, NOC code etc and I was terminated from work the next day which was yesterday.
Please I don't want to make the same mistake again. When applying for FSW, is the job offer or contract enough to submit for arranged employment category for FSW or I need another letter from my employer with a job description?
Now that I no longer have a full-time permanent job offer, can I apply for the regular FSW without showing proof of funds since I have a work permit? My job is on the eligible/priority list and the cap is still less than 200 so there is still room for me.
I have done 3 degrees in Canada including a master's degree. I just got my PGWP and I really need to get my PR because I have invested too much in this country. I can still struggle to get another job offer but this month is coming to an end fast.
Thanks Rimi, ms. Reannox, superman!

I was thinking same to do landing after but unfortunately I am not prepared for vacations as I wasn't sure we will get ppr and visa this fast. So I will go after getting pr card. I heard it takes about a month or one week more. Till then I will have time to prepare for holidays and bookings.
You have a safe and fun journey and congrats once again.
So we will need to write an email to CIO to get any reply otherwise will need to wait to get charged ...
I don't mind to write them an email
so anyone can help to provide email address we can write to CIO please ? ;D
Please can someone just explain this arranged letter of employment?
Is it not the same as having an offer of employment that is full time permanent in Canada? Aside from the offer letter, what else does one need to get from the employer
