If he or she presently working u can put presently working if not u can put a date atleast 6 months from now coz it atleast takes 6 months for lmo approval
Hey yeah I sent it to Ottawa. Now the only thing is that I must get pr card before going to India, probably if I get my passport back by nov end then i will get pr card by end of jan or before. It was such a relief when they said that we can send to Ottawa

My question is: Am i eligible to apply since i applied under fsw arranged employment? If so, what should i put in form IMM 5710 which asks what am i applying for - a work permit with the same employer, temporary resident permit or work permit with another employer? Any reply would be much appreciated. Thank you.

As long as you have an application under process, u can always work under the old work permit ,even if it's s expired (i am 99% sure).
Man u can apply for an open work permit!! It doesnt have to be related to any employer. Just call cic or ask any consulant (the free ones) and they will guide u.
