So what is the consensus though of 2011 PGP applicants, of the fact that some 2016 PGP applicants have already 'landed'?

Yes, you need US visa for that and I think they don't allow to cross the border for just extending the visa.you have to apply for extend your stay with new super visa insurance. But it's funny that, I have only submitted insurance for 1 year but the renew the visitor permit for two years.

It is not like that you are crossing border to extend visa. It is multiple visa. Means you can go out and come back to Canada many times. Multiple super visa. It is similar to that your parents gone back to the original country and came back again because parents have super visa for 10 years. My point was, if you could skip extension for stay.

Yes, i had applied for extension of stay with insurance. Insurance is always for 1 year. My mother got 2 years of stays on very first time landed with super visa with one year insurance, I think CIC think we will buy insurance for next year also

I don't know any one landed but got medical done and passed

i have question my parents and dependents got visa in dec 2016 but so far we didnt get our original documents back so any idea wt to do or any contact information that i can contact for original documents. my visa office is new delhi .

If you search google for "CIC new Delhi email address". You would get link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/missions/new-delhi.asp and email address is DELHI-IMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca

I think , if you send an email with UCI/file number CIC should reply back to you

my friend not much can be done at this stage, we just have to wait and see how it's going to turn out for 2011 folks

Hi.. pawgursh..At what stage is your file.Did CIC approve you as a sponsor..

which is your secondary office? If it's New Delhi. You will hear soon .. Couple people got passport request who sent medical in October.

yes ,it is just hope.. Nothing esle none of us can do. I just 20 days ago received sponsorship approval..Don't know how long have to wait.i really pray to God.everybody get their loved ones in Canada as soon as possible.first come first serve CIC s queue did not work for us....All I can say hope ...Hope hope.that only positive option for us.

Ravi, I think, it would take another Six to Nine months for you.

in my case, on 7th July i have received a letter stating that I met Sponsorship requirements, but my file was transferred to Ottawa on 12th Sep 2016 (this is what eCAS says), on around 10th Dec 2016 got Medical and PCC, that is the reason i was saying Six to Nine months

@ kcdasojou..You are right.still six to nine months.Mostly people got first communication from New Delhi within month after first stage approval .Average time they took six to nine months.

I was hoping that were would be tangible reasons why 2016 PGP applicant are getting "fast-tracked" some mentioned that parents have already landed.
Was hoping that, some obvious reasons might arise; simpler forms, new offices, etc....but no.
And with 2017 coming along, I feel they will get fast tracked also.
I wish CIC would adhere to FIFO
