We received update on our file.

They started processing my parents case at Ottawa Vo from 17 Dec 2016.
They acknowledged receipt of Medicals.
can anyone guess time for calling passports for visa?

when you said "they acknowledge receipt of Medicals"

how was this acknowledged to you, it it through an email or an update on eCAS

normally medical reports go from doctor office directly to vias office eMedicals


so just curious to know how is this is done

I checked progress on CIC web site in check your application.In that they have mentioned receipt of Medicals.

Guys, london visa office has received medical results and now the status is passed. However, background eligibility is still in progress. What does that mean? Also, any clue how long would it take after the medical results have been received.

Can you please update your time line under your profile, so that others can also get help from you.? e.g. when you update your profile with time line, Anyone can get help for how long it took to get update from medical done to medical received etc.

Can someone educate as to what does Background eligibility
mean and how long on average it takes.

Guys, london visa office has received medical results and now the status is passed. However, background eligibility is still in progress. What does that mean? Also, any clue how long would it take after the medical results have been received.

what i have noticed was with in few days from submission of online medical results (eMedical) status changes to Passed (GCKey)

Criminal and security checks

Normal it wary from 3-7 weeks
If crimanal name hit. Then fingure printing that adds 3 weeks

If security issue( parents in military or muslim country) then no time frame known but add easily couple of months

Hi...I need help to link application to gckey account..I tried Twice no luck..As I created my mom s gckey account..And try to link.. she does not use surname. .So kaur will be family name or as ecase says null...Any help will be appreciated..thanks

And u saw immideatly in june 2016 itself background in progress? Then i don't know the old PGP process steps. Normally in new PGP post 2014 cases the background is not started or not needed for 4 or so months for NDVO. Later it become in process.

Anycase background means check on what u declare plus criminal and security checks.

just check status after holidays ,decision made both side . lets see which decision they made . I m scared now .
