My parents visa approval came in today, but because the medical is expiring, they need to land before 24th May.

Does anyone know how much time it takes for VFS, Mumbai to process passport stamping requests.

My parents were here on visit last year, and had to do medicals for visit. My Dad had to redo the medical for PR visa, but they accepted the medicals for my mom. My mom medical is expiring May 24th, and that is why they need to land before that date.

Today my parents have submitted passport to VFS, Mumbai, and they were told that they should get back their passports within 10-15 days.

I also want to add some information about something happened in my case.

Last week, I got a email from Delhi embassy asking that my mom needs to do additional testing (saying her medicals done for visit visa expired).

This week I got a phone call from Ottawa office saying that they can approve the visa, provided my parents can land before 24th May.

I will keep the forum informed about what happens to their visa stamping process.

My Permanent resident status changed to "decision made" almost 3 weeks back. I still haven't heard from them to submit the passports. How long does it take after Ecas shows " decision made".

Did your Ecas change to decision made after the email was received or before.
Also your LVO Ottawa and if so do your parents have to send passports to Ottawa or can they submit to Delhi.

Thanks Soonihope!! First got an email and later "Tuesday" they updated to decision made. They have to submit to Delhi via VFS.

I got a weird email today. It says my parents are found eligible for the visa. However, admission check is still going on and if they need anything they will contact me. and I should pay the PPR fee. My bad I didn't pay the fee upfront. Well,I am hoping after i pay, i will get the passport request soon.
