Hi,
We applied under Skilled Worker category in Feb. 2008 (Singapore Office) & application status is still "Processing" on CIC website.
Surprisingly fellows are getting into Canada in less than a year under new "Fast Track Scheme"
Is it possible to move/change application to fast track and apply at CIO instead from my regional office?
It's has been a long wait and we are running out of patience.
Thanks in advance
Rana
you can apply again only if your profession falls under the most wanted 29 list issued after 26 july this year.
all the best!
Correction: June 26

sorry, its june 26-thanx for the same.
just check this link Canada Immigration Forum > Immigration Topics > Skilled Worker / Professional Immigration > Topic: New list of 29 Nocs?! PLEASE HELP!!!
you will get an idea of the professions in demand. for more just search topics related to new noc list, or applicants after 26/6.
if you are eligible start immediately as according to new rules only limited applicants per NOC will be granted visa, in short-first come first serve basis till quota is full. so try out your luck.
all the best
Thanks a lot.
Seems that my profession is NOT part of this "most wanted 29 list".
I am currently "Engineering Manager" in my current Company and NOC code seems to be 0211 which is not among 29 jobs.
So is this fast track only for "most wanted 29 prof." and only these application go to CIO, Sydney and others still go to
their local/regional application offices? Or all new applications go to CIO, Sydney.
As I see the latest processing period for each regional office, it's shown faster for applications submitted after
Nov. 2008 (My bad luck as I had submitted in Feb. 2008)
I felt that even if I am not part of 29 but still withdraw and apply afresh at CIO, Sydney, the case may speed-up.
Does it makes any sense or better follow what has been done/submitted (application submitted in February 2008)
Kindly advice.
regards
Rana

1. All Skilled worker applications go to CIO Sydney, only those that are eligible in the list of "29" FSW1 and those with an Approved Employment Option (FSW2) All others do not qualify for FSW1 or 2 and are not eligible to apply .
2. If you withdraw and apply at CIO Sydney, and you don't have experience in the list of 29, your application will be refused.
3. You are going to have sit and wait for about another 2.5 years for when your application comes up.
Dear PMM & other fellows,
Thank you so much for your all information.....
I am curious to find any fit between my profile & 1122 Professional Occupations in Business Services to Management.
Can anyone elaborate a bit more on this? Is this more sort of a Consultancy or BPO job.
How one can exactly understands & proves his/her match particularly with this code while submitting the application?
I need to be ascertained about whether or not my current occupation or service falls under this category.
E.g I am Engineering Manager (0211), managing technical support function at my current Company.
So can it be part of 1122 Professional Occupations as well?
And if it does, is it possible to submit new application at CIO, Sydney while the first one still continues or it must be withdrawn first?
regards
Rana
we definitely could have two parallel applications at the same time, cic allows that. before finalisation, they ask which one they should go ahead with. but just check if rules have changed after 26/6. i am earlier applicant so know better about earlier rules.
If CIC allow parallel applications then definitely do NOT withdraw your original application until your fresh one is approved.
Also as I understand it NOC 1122 is a heavily subscribed NOC this year, and if you begin getting an application together now (you will need IELTS test and a substantial amount of supporting documents, will probably take 6 to 8 weeks just to get your IELTS test booked and the results back) by the time you submit it, the 1000 cap for the 1122 NOC may already be filled.
Of course it is worth trying if you are prepared to undergo the expense and time-labouring of a new application, but since it is no guarantee of approval you are best not to withdraw your original application until you have to.
Wayne.
Hi, Thanks.
Can any one confirm is there is a provision of two parallel applications and even if NOC 1122 is a heavily subscribed, what's the most important doc. to prove ones relation with it?
Just a letter from Company stating job description and the job title would be enough?

Rana
1.start anew thread asking if two parallel applications are still allowed, i havent heard anything about not being allowed so mostly it will be yes for an answer. still you can check. even if it is not allowed at most your new application will be returned.
2. start collecting all documents-company letter should mention everything period of employment, job responsibilities handled, salary, reported to whom etc. its given in brochure. its is indeed one of the most important documents to prove you are eligible for the job responsibilities listed uncer noc 1122.
3. its always advisable not to withdraw the old application (before 38 and 29 lists were out) and let it run parallel as you are not sure of the new one. older applications are processed irrespective of noc codes, so though late (sometimes6-7 years), if you clear medicals chances of getting pr are higher. hope this helps.
