Hey everyone
I have confusion about working hours for AIPP
Actually i work 24 hours twice in a month regular and 40 hours twice in a month(except Over time as a night premium). Does it work if i will have 1560 hours at the end of year with 24 hours for two weeks in a month.
(128 x 12 = 1536)

Hi Everyone -

My brother has a full time job but the company is closing down in two weeks time (victim of the current economy) and will be 4 weeks short of the 1 year requirement.

They have offered to keep him on those 4 extra weeks and pay him something like $1, but I'm wondering if this will be accepted or not? What is his best option here? (other than find a new FT role - his visa timeline is not on his side, nor is the current COVID situation).

Thanks! Lucy

Nope - you need to wait until you have a whole year.

Hello
My are hours are always in range of 120-130 per months. (Minimum weekly hours were 25-30 per week).
Currently going on with NoC B knock job .
So far I completed 1108 in 7 months .

My concern is
Is it mandatory to work have minimum 30 hour's a week / 130 hours months full. ?

You need to work at least 30 hours in one week to count this as a full time week. If you work less than 30 hours, it's a part time week.

To calculate how much work experience you have:
1) Count how many week you have of work experience where you worked 30 hours or more. Each of these weeks will count as 1 week of work experience.
2) For each week where you worked less than 30 hours, add up the total number of hours and divide by 30.

Add the two numbers above together. If you get 52 or more, then you have 1 year of work experience.

As long as he's officially employed and the employment letter shows that he worked for an entire year (without mentioning the "special" arrangement), it could work.

I wouldn't submit any payslips, though, because that will only lead to more questions and jeopardize the application (eg working but no pay? that will raise a red flag).

Still, I think it's potentially risky. If they call his employer to verify and they mention this special arrangement then it could haunt him.

Hi I started working in a company since June 2020, this December will be 7 months, however i had an accident and was absent for 7 weeks. Do I have to work those extra 7 weeks to make up for the difference?

You have to complete your hours, and mention this gap and the reason, it kind help your application. Best of luck when you are ready.

Thanks, by the way, I did get a job about a year ago, in another company, but I was let go after 5 weeks, would including that in my application be risky?

No it not, so far as you meet the required hours, or had worked for a total of one year; you are good

Hello team, Thank you all for your previous reply.

I had some other questions to clarify:
1.) My work permit expires in September, my 1 year is completed in end of June., should I apply for PR, then bridge work permit, or should I apply for extension and then for after PR, after I get my extension(I have 8mnths reduced on my work permit because of passport expiry date, so if I apply for extension, I can get the remainder of the months on my work permit)
2.) Can I apply for PR, and extension of my work permit at the same time, and bridge work permit, while my extension is in process?
3.) I worked at a Montreal company for 5 weeks(but had an Ontario address), then got fired,. I took a letter from HR, which includes my name, designation, the time I was there and my salary, is that enough?

Hello all,
Please I have a very confusing case and would appreciate you all advice.
I received an invitation in express entry to apply for PR under Canadian experience class February 13th 2021 draw

- I got hired on the 25th of December 2019
My payday is biweekly, every 2 weeks.

Now here is the confusing part.
-I lost my first stub that came in on October 15 2019.
-My second paystub dated Nov 1st 2019 has 57 hours on it instead of the 60 hours required (30 hours a week, 2 week 60 hours)
The rest of my paystub from November 15 2019 to September 18 2020 all have over 60 hours on them.

-October 2nd 2020 paystub has 55 hours. After October my workload got reduced to part time due to COVID-19.

My Experience letter stated that I was employed from 25th of September to October 2020 and has worked 1,700 hours.

Will my application be rejected because of few hours short?
Should I apply with just experience letter and not upload paystubs?
