Today I called call center and has been told that residency and prohibition it is not done but back ground check is done . I am shocked why they didn't finish residency after more than 14 month . I have worked and study more than 4 years here they can check it easily .

Other question is anyone knows what is difference background check and prohibition. Because she said background check is done but they are working on residency and prohibition?

Thanks .but I am still confused what is difference between this two, Prohibition and background check .

This sounds like good news. They redo prohibition after the background check is done and all other checks been done. As soon as residency is done, you'd be sent an invite....that shouldn't take them too long hopefully.

Prohibition basically checks for any run-ins with the law after everything is cleared.

Ive been requesting my ATIPs every 3 months to see if there are any significant changes and I just got one today and I now see an officer assigned to my paper file application hopefully that means test invite soon!!!!!

Check right at the last few pages depending on how many you have.

I have 32 pages and from pg 30 to 32 there is paper file and paper file history. I see a name of an officer (dunno if it’s the name of the person working on my application) and “Test pending clearance”

In my app anniversary i called IRCC, they said they'll ping my office.

Its been two weeks and I haven't heard back. How long did your office take to get back to you?

Should I escalate? Should I call again? Should I involve my MP? Whats the next best course of action?

I am sorry to hear.
1- In my case I called call center after 1 year because I passed the test 7 month an I was still in process . They sent the note to my MP and after 10 days when I called again they told me the MP responded.
2 - I don't think there is a limit for call . I call them by weekly .
3- I wrote the letter 2 weeks ago to my MP but I didn't get back yet .
4- you can request the GCMS note to find out which part is the problem.

I did all those, nothing happened. And my 13-month mark is 4 days from now

How do I request GCMS notes? When I talked to the call center agent, she said my background check is complete and that i should receive my test invite any day.
