No nothing at all... Still waiting since Feb 2018 they said Criminality clearance.. I dont know why its taking too long I renewed my PR 2016 and here since 2013 never traveled..
I called them around feel like 100 times always everything is ok. BG checks done. The office is aware that I need the test invite but still nothing. Very sad.....

I met a Syrian refugee came 2014 applied from Mississauga 2017 and he got citizenship within 8 months...I think his BG check are faster .. dont know why?

Why would you even ask? The answer is obvious....Because their votes will go to one particular party just in time for the 2019 election, even though the background check should in theory take much longer since many of them didn’t have any documents ... but it’s us who have all the paper trail and all the tax records that could potentially post threat to this country and need to be looked at really carefully and take much longer to check ...
I have been watching this thread for a while. My husband applied for citizenship on April 2018, did his test October 2018 and since then he’s been in process no Decision Made. They told us BG is still in process.
I know there are some who have been waiting longer and some even with no test date. It’s so hard and frustrating.
However for those who past the 12 month mark what did CIC say? Because when we called they said call us back after the 12 month mark and then we can go from there.
So I am confused to why people are still waiting for test or even decision made?

After 12 month mark, IRCC would say what the delay reason is. If it is internal within IRCC, they would send a notice to local ofice about it. If it is external partner (Security check), they would simply tell you have to wait. Most of people who are waiting for Decision made after 12 month are stuck with one of this reasons.
