Medicals in 2013???? This will be completely unfair, I don't think so because simply it was mentioned at the beginning of this program that it will take only from 6 to 12 months.
My consultant told me that the VO is very reluctant on NOC 213 however they are processing other NOC catagories which are new and released in new NOC list
"Reluctant" is a very dangerous word because we already applied according to the system mentioned at that time. I am afraid that this word means that our files will be ignored for a long time which is completely not practical or fair.
If you applied as a Federal Skilled Worker on or after February 27, 2008 and before June 26, 2010 , your application will take two years or more to be processed. This is due to the fact that Canada received over 425,000 applications under this program during this period.
* Unfortunately, it will take longer to process federal skilled worker applications submitted under the first set of instructions (between February 27, 2008 and June 25, 2010) than originally projected.
* During this time, the department received applications for more than 425,000 people, and 144,000 of these have not yet received a decision.
* This number represents more than twice the number of projected admissions under the federal skilled worker program in 2011, so many of these applicants will have to wait two years or more to be processed.

It is really choking for me to know that the status of an application is "In Process" since October 2010 and till now without any progress. Does this mean that this status (which is considered pre final status) might not change for years???????
It is a bit of tiring for this waiting game.... No progress.. and do not know how long we have to wait for... specially those Pre June 2010 applications on the NOC's that is no longer on the current priority list (29 list).
Our NOC is :0213..
The 2nd AOR has indicated that the process would only take 6 to 12 months. Now the website has changed to 15 months from our VO. What's next...
Nothing we can do right now. Just wait .... wait and wait....
Is the waiting times indicated in the official site of Canada accurate? For example, in Cairo VO it is shown that it is now 17 months, however I know other colleagues who have exceeded 24 months since the date of the 2nd AOR. For me, I almost reached 17 months now. So, how come it is 17?
I am sure that other VO waiting times are facing the same situation. Any clarification??
I have applied with 0213 in 2003 and received a file # in 2004, also a request for document updating was sent to me in Sep. 2010 . Still my status is " IN PROCESS ", whereas I know my updated documents have not been opened yet.
I think that the 17 months indicated from the CIC website is approx. timelines which means that Cairo VO has processed 80% of the cases within that timeframes. Other 20% of cases with longer timelines to finalise. Many other factors that may delay the processing....
