Date submitted - January 10, 2025
Inspect method shows status completed on 16th Jan
Called IRCC and got Application Number but unable to link in the account and on the E-CAS.

Hi, I submitted mine on 5th January, still waiting for an update. I was able to successfully link my application in the account after confirming the application number with IRCC's helpline support. The application shows the date of submission as 17th January, coincidentally the same date that I was able to link it on.
I am not sure if there some glitch in the system that prohibits the linkage in first few days or there is actually a logical reason why it happens. Because initially when I did not have my application number, I was not able to retrieve too through UCI. Then one day I called IRCC to ask for support and my application number, tried after 10 minutes and it worked. But next time when you contact IRCC, confirm your city of birth on file (any spaces, commas etc), just to rule out any discrepancy.
Continue to post any updates here, I am sure it helps others too.

Hi, thank you for the reply. I will definitely call and ask them about the place of birth because on my Copr it's written as city, state. So I don't know if I only should put the city or the whole thing. Did you check the inspect method ?

I think you should try both and check if either works. I know entering just the city makes sense on one hand, while on the other hand the information shall be entered as it appears on your documents. IRCC would be the right department to give you the exact procedure.

Did you check the inspect method ?

I did try inspect as well, out of curiosity and lack of patience (lol), and it shows complete with no remarks. But looking at other members' remark on the forum, I am not sure about its credibility.

Ok so i was checking my application status on the phone, it was directing me to the customer care agent. It never happened before, when i spoke to the agent she said it is in processing.

ECAS is for paper - on gckey - CIty of birth has to be exactly (incl caps/lower), as it appears on COPR

completed means 'submission completed' - it shows that for all after submission

I have an update-
So I was still unable to link my application. However, when I checked my old pr card application status it shows invalid and status updated date on 26 January. Hopefully I will get my new card by this week.

old pr card? like from 5 years ago? I didn't know they still keep that on the account...

what date you applied for renewal?

I got my card in 2022 and I did my name change recently. It was on my account when I got my pr but now it shows the document is invalid.

you mean received date inside gckey? its 19th the same day I liked the application to gckey and from past messages I noticed it just captures the same day as you linked - how about you?

I am talking about the old card. It should say the status update date. For me I was not able to link it with my GC key account.

I cant track my old card - I tried that but as it was issued 5 years ago and that account is showing as revoked when I try to login - I see similar messages for other people when they tried the same thing,
I think yours was more recent due to name change I guess
