I sent my application 1 year ago. I’ve not even taken the test. Many Feb/March/April applicants have already received their certificate. I’ve not even taken the test. Considering the timeline, even if I take the test in coming 2-3 months (best case scenario), I will not be invited to the ceremony before 2023. I’m so sad and hopeless honestly.

I thought PR was a nightmare enough and didn't realize citizenship is even worse. I think I checked my new tracker and ECAS religiously 10+ time a day ...

Hi all,

I am in the middle of finishing my citizenship application but I am not able to pay fees - I previously paid other fees (PR, etc,) without any problem but this time I am getting a message saying "Your Payment has not been approved". I tried multiple times, same issue, even calling my Bank but it seems they never received the payment request so the process is stuck somewhere.

I am using a Mastercard and Chrome.

I noticed they did some maintenance work a few days ago and I am wondering whether there is an issue there.

Is anyone experiencing the same problem?

Unfortunately I don't think there is another way of paying fees at the moment, they used to accept Bank payment but now it is gone.

Any feedback or suggestion is welcome! Thank you

Hi Pinko77, i would recommend you open a new thread for your request to get better answers and more visibility for the issue you are having as everyone on this thread are 2021 February citizenship applicants who sent payment in 2021 so you will have better luck reaching out to people who sent their application in 2022 - it could be a tech issue id recommend sending IRCC a message (they take a while to answer) or calling them for tech support and let them know your issue. Best of luck hopefully it gets fixed soon !

I got email around 11am…..

I am still waiting for the invite actually.
My tracker is updated but still no invite..

I got the Invitation for the Oath Ceremony on Feb 21.
Give or take a week from the day it is scheduled (March 1st)

you will receive an e-mail 5-7 days before the Oath

the tracker says the citizenship ceremony is started,
Citizenship oath status has been updated to In progress

you will see the date but It might change

the invite is:
Congratulations! You've been scheduled to attend your citizenship ceremony on XXXX ##, 2022. Follow the instructions you will receive in your ceremony invitation.
