Can one get his Citizenship certificate immediately after oath and then apply for urgent passport processing? I live in Houston, Texas now and will only be coming to Canada for the ceremony and intend to stay there for about 3 days after the ceremony as I have got to go back to work the week after the ceremony.
it takes anywhere between 1-4 weeks to get the certificate, it comes to you by regular mail.
No fixed timeline again, some got it in 5 days, here is me waiting 2 weeks since the Oath was completed.
I have also got another question guys. Please can one attend the the oath ceremony in any city in Canada or one has got to go to the city one stated as one's current address in Canada? I used to live in Calgary when I was in Canada but the current address IRCC has in their records is my uncle's address in Edmonton.
Shouldn’t matter,
They don’t ask you where you are during the ceremony, not sure if they see your geographic location in Zoom somehow or not.
But change the address or make sure someone can receive the certificates (citizenship certificate) for you at the address you have given on file to them. That’s where they will be sending it.

You should be able to, if you have solid evidence for your return (like flight tickets) and cause. You will need to request the clerk during the ceremony. I have also seen examples where candidates were able to pickup in person immediately after the ceremony. But from my memory those were UP applicants, so no guarantee that would work. Likewise for Passport, but much easier - you can quicky get it in 1 day under Urgent after presenting with cause + evidence.

I passed the test on Oct 16 2021, the test was updated in the system on Oct 20 2021. On Nov 23 2021 Prohibitions, Language and Physical Presence were updated. I saw Decision Made in the old tracker some time in the end of Nov, don’t remember the date.
