Hey guys,
my friend made 2 stupid mistakes and I would like to know if he can do something before it's too late:
1. he printed and signed the imm008 and uploaded it.
2. He didn't understand the question about the city intended to live in so he answered Montreal where he is currently living and that's a reason for refusal since the program is not for Quebec.
he didn't receive anything yet, no AOR, no linking..
Is there anything he can do? thank you guys in advance.
I agree with @imb5
1) Signing is not required, but it might even be better if he sent signed version.
2) I don't know much, but I think it would not affect his initial processing or AOR, BUT I have been told that the intention to settle outside Quebec is an important problem. Other than what he indicated in the form, I would strongly recommend that he be ready to prove that intention. If he is living and working in Montreal, he would have a hard time convincing the IRCC that he plans on settling elsewhere. But if he has currently moved to elsewhere (say Toronto) and have a job there, it would be much easier to convince that it was a misunderstanding on his part and he is settling outside of Quebec. In short, I would be more worried about what steps he had taken to settle outside of Quebec by the time IRCC reaches him than what he might have mistakenly filled in the forms. I assume that IRCC will give him a chance to explain/prove his intentions before rejecting his file and he should be ready to convince them.

1. Try to get a temporary AOR by calling CIC.
2. Amend the necessary information.
3. Or wait for AOR and make the request for amendment of information asap.
Again, When you amend the information of living outside of Quebec, Attach your lease or two proof of residency to indicate that your friend is living at the said non-QB address since the application was made.
rest is luck.

Hi all, I have submitted application under IG category 8:56 PM on May 6th. I haven't heard anything from IRCC till date. No AOR , No Document request, nothing! I got married in Dec and I raised a webform stating the same and I haven't heard from them yet. I don't know what is the procedure to include my wife's application into mine. Can any one help me with briefing out the procedure as what is going to be next? I applied for PCC again as I went to my home country and came back.

Any one who applied on May 6 and still with no AOR?

With advices from here, I was able to contact IRCC call centre just a minute ago.

I applied the TR to PR as essential worker stream under English version around 2 pm on May 6.
AOR & ADR: Oct 26 same day (PCC for me and my wife for since 18 yrs old) & pay stubs were requested.
ADR: Oct 29 my son's Canadian passport they wanted to make sure why he was not in the application.
Submitted all requested docs on Oct 29 without my wife PCC from other country. So I just wrote a reason why I couldn't submit together.

And two more times automatically requested medical test again for my son and wife.
I don't remember the dates.

And I submit on January 7 for my wife foreign PCC through IRCC webform.
Nothing updated since Oct 29 until today.
I didn't see any GU I didn't check my account daily.

Today, I was successful to contact and she answerd my application assessment was passed on Nov 12 and criminal background check was completed on Nov 16. And she mentioned, there seems like no more documents request and waiting for the final decision.
And the location is in Whitehorse now.

I asked to her again is my eligibility passed? and she said yes.
Is that meant I don't need to worry about? I am still nervous.

Thank you.

I called contact centre today, still not able to link, had temporary number assigned to application since Dec21 but however I was told that they’ve started criminality check on the application, which is a lil weird to me but I’ll take it.

The levels plan seems to suggest that IRCC is temporarily reducing Express Entry admissions so it can accommodate admissions under the TR2PR program. IRCC is looking to land 40,000 immigrants in 2022 and the final 32,000 immigrants by 2023 under the TR2PR stream.
Includes the time-limited temporary public policies for temporary resident to permanent resident pathways, with all admissions anticipated by the end of 2023.

I really don't want to wait until the end of 2023.
