Should be soon now. May be another week. I did see a lot of Sep 1st week applicants get it around Dec 15th. Just crazy

I have just called IRCC to confirm the status of my application. They’re processing my background check. I have submitted a PCC for every country I have lived in including Canada. My question is how long does it normally take, it’s been around 22 weeks now? Any idea?

As long as you're in Canada, where you apply from has generally no impact.

Can't give you a specific time period, but background check does take time.

If you are outland, then things are a bit bleak. Some people take 6-7 months to approve. I have seen this with Indian applicants [ when they finish studies in Canada but are in India while applying PGWP and do not have a valid TRV ]

Background check is a standard process and your eligibility review begins Only after background check is completed. Sometimes officers directly finish processing your file too. So it is pretty random afaik
