The batch of PPRs you are seeing have nothing to do with the mandate letter directly. They also represent the tip of the iceberg when it comes to these things. Remember these are self reported updates. There are a ton of folks who don’t give a shit about posting on forums and/or social media about their applications.

That's exactly why one should compare "REPORTED" PPRs pre-pandemic vs "REPORTED" PPRs post-pandemic. It's easy to see nothing is moving.

“Nothing is moving” is too strong a phrase to use when you compare it to the situation for the last 2 years when literally NOTHING was moving.

Most processing appears to be focused on 2019 and early 2020 applications, but I’ve seen September and October 2020 posts too. But I have my bets on everything being random. PPRs are released in batches apparently but no one knows how those batches are divided. All guesses are welcome.

I think it's random and based on the immigration officer assigned to the case or the visa office. Ideally they need to do it on a orderly first come first serve basis if the application isn't complicated but this is the government and nothing that governments do make sense to anyone including those who work for them

I saw a couple of March 2020 and April 2020 getting PPR today in a Whatsapp group. Also, two more got remeds with a 2020 AOR.

Saw Two more PPR’s from FEB 2020 in the group.
