Visitor visa for parents applied in October 2021. No decision yet

Hi,
I am a PR in Canada and I applied for visitor visa for my parents from India on October 23 2021. Biometrics were completed on Dec 1 2021. But the file hasn't moved yet. I applied through the new portal

Earlier I was hearing stories of getting passport requests two weeks after biometrics. Is that still the case now ? Are there others in the same boat as me ? Can somone give me a timeline ?

Sorry, not an answer for your question. May I ask if you submitted financial information even if optional? If so, did you use your income or just your parents? I want to apply visitor visa for my parents (under 6 month visit) but my T4 is lower than LICO.

Same, I applied for my mother on October 7th and I got biometrics letter on October 8th 2021. Still no response.

I though biometrics was a good sign

Same here . I have applied for my inlaws on October 19th , got Biometric done on November 12 . But after that no answers. I reapplied again on December 12 but same again for 2nd application , no movement.
