I finally got an update to my file. Been waiting since DM on June 25. Dec 21 I was finally invited to attend ceremony on January 12. Just waiting on the email now. I am in Edmonton.

qq: I heard that Indian Citizen, who apply for Canadian citizenship (after completing 1095 days or so days), are getting Canadian citizenship approved only after when that applicant has almost completed 6 years of physical stay in Canada. This is not the case with the applicants origin from other countries. Is this true??

Not sure where you got that information from but my cousin from India who just completed '3' out of '5' years got her Citizenship application approved and she is due for Oath next week and her application was submitted last year.

I found this number in another forum here 1-888-242-2100, I have been calling them but they keep saying they are busy and then hang up :-(.

based on which office is processing your application - please send a mail to them immediately. infact reply back to your citizenship test mail and you should hear back from them.
