Urgent help please especially for those who have dependents overseas :
My understanding is that the in-canada principle applicant becomes PR before their dependents overseas. Is this a valid assumption?
I'm asking this because my application was approved and got invited for the portal and did the in-Canada declaration and uploaded my photo but also there was an error from IRCC regarding a dependent overseas which I communicated to them. Now because of that dependent, my application went back from decision made to in process and according to IRCC, they won't finalize my application until all medical, background checks, and other things completed for my overseas dependents. Is this really the correct process? My application was submitted in Oct 2019 and it took two years and I expect this dependent delay to add another year or so.

IRCC launched pilot project to make-processing faster. Yours and dependants application process together. In your case did you receive a letter about a pilot project.
usually before the refugee application gets processed first then the dependants, hopefully you are in the pilot project and things go fast for you now.

However, this is the second person on this thread encountering this same challenge, though at different stages in their application process.
I believe the other person got this same message just after receiving Eligibility e-mail.

Yes on the mail to notify those chosen for pilot program.
Though there have also been instances of folks not receiving emails to denote certain developments in the processing of their applications, however, neither of those who have mentioned this new development got the mail notification.
