PR Card (New/Renewal) Processing Timeline 2021

Received today 22-DEC confirmation from IRCC that our files have been received on 18th October.

Today following entries visible in ECAS for the both of us:

Permanent Resident Card

1. We received your application for a permanent resident card on October 18, 2021.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on December 22, 2021.
3. We started processing your application on December 22, 2021.

as well ECAS stating: Decision Made

once you get an email from IRCC confirming receipt of your application you should be able to check the status on ECAS a day or two days after that email through

Please visit www.cic.gc.ca/english and in the "Most requested" section on the right-hand side of the page, select "Check your application status".

My PR card renewal application went in Progress on December 15, 2021. Still waiting for below line:

• Your Permanent Resident card was sent by mail on XXXXXXX .

Fingers crossed, when I will get this line in ECAS...

i strongly assume the wide majority sees AOR anywhere between 2 - 4 months…..I would reckon “few days” only applies to urgent processing cases.

I'm DM Oct, so this gives me hope!

After 5 weeks of decision made, if you don’t get the PR card, you should start involving your MP, otherwise there could be issue with card printing or anything else because IRCC is not good in following up with you until you push them.

When did you apply and what is your status now? got DS? I haven't got AOR even today, applied on Apr 30th. Really concern about my situation. Appreciate your advise.

Complete Dec 6
Card received Dec 13
My card took bit longer than normal processing time so I involved my MP office in Oct, after few back and forth follow up between IRCC agent and my MP office, finally done.

Advice needed please

My PR card was sent by mail on November 15 and it is yet to arrive and I dont think it will. I believe I have to fax a solemn declaration. I am leaving Canada April 1 2022.

Does anyone know how long this process takes? Is there an alternative solution?

How can we involve MP for the PR card processing ? Is there any mail ID or contact number where we can contact ?

My file went into in-progress on 15 Dec 2021.

nothing after, 7 weeks already, but mine expired next year Feb 22nd, so i guess i will call them if i still get nothing at the end of Jan.

No it is standard application and as the timeline shows also waited 2 x months for AOR.
