It is official!!!, received my citizenship certificate yesterday.

Oath ceremony: October 27th
Citizenship certificate: November 9th.
Mississauga office.

Canada post.
It’s sad that IRCC sends such important document inside a very thin envelope via regular mail, needless to say the certificate is all crumpled.
They’re actually worse than some of the third world countries government offices.
Atleast there we know their level of service. and Here after paying for the whole process upfront, they still treat us like $hit.

Hello everyone, i requested GCMS notes on October 12th. Its almost 2 months and i have not received it. Is anyone else in a similar situation? i thought it normally takes 30ish days? i sent another request on Nov 16 because i wasn't not sure why the delay.

Just an update on my application after receiving GCMS notes. The notes tell me my test was invalidated due to technical issues. Yet absolutely nothing updated on my file and no correspondence with me for a re-take.

Anyone else had "invalid" results??? Any coms from them?

I have my All 5 steps changed to Completed, Citizenship ceremony in Not Started and application status still shows In Process, is that normal?

Just an update on my application after receiving GCMS notes. The notes tell me my test was invalidated due to technical issues. Yet absolutely nothing updated on my file and no correspondence with me for a re-take.

Anyone else had "invalid" results??? Any coms from them?

I had my first test in July, the test status did not change to completed so I requested for my GCMS note which stated cancelled for test, no details. I got another test invite towards the end of November to retake the test. Reason- they could not validate my result due to technical issues or photo identification did not record on their system.
I’m sure you would be getting an invite soon to retake the test

Yep, mine's been like that for two months now. Just a waiting game.

Honestly lost the interest, nothing makes sense in this country. 2021 applicants have finished the process and we still struggling, you call them and they claim they are busy with Afghanistan. We are here paying the taxes, not those who are in Afghanistan, we should have the priorities not them.

mine has showed everything completed cept ceremony since december 13. Crazy that its going to have been approaching two years since i applied

I don't think there will be any more ceremonies until next Jan 2022.

Hi there, This is interesting to me because I am trying to figure out how long I should expect to wait after my test till I see a DM. You did your test in early October - so 2 months to DM and for one of you the oath is set for March. Others seem to be waiting more like six months. Its very hard to see a pattern,.....!! Well done tohugh!

The other received Ceremony date - January 29, 2022. That’s weird.

I got my ceremony invitation yesterday, scheduled for January, 6th. I have been in DM and ceremony-ready since August, 20th. Office is Vancouver, BC.

I see there’s about 3-5 months average wait time for oath ceremony. But if you are very lucky it can be within 1-2 months.

Unfortunately, there are also people who are waiting for over 6 months and beyond.

On other hand, 2021 applicants are getting test invite, DM, oath invites and IRCC says they’re prioritizing Afghan refugees blah blah blah
