Yes, gov. departments will still work and most likely IRCC already have orders for what to do next. Unfortunately there won’t be any pressure to release their plans until February.

The mandate letters are goals, not really what their plan of action is. Lawyer groups and some MP were pressing them on what their plan was to actually achieve what stated, other than just throw money at the problem.
Sure. I expect IRCC staff to go on a very short break and resume actively early January. They have a backlog to work on and the mandate letter has prioritized this. They need to raise their sleeves and get working ASAP
I expect IRCC to sleep on my application for an indefinite period of time. Isn't that the official narrative for now? Or am I missing something? I'm not getting my hopes up again. Being pessimistic about IRCC pays more than being optimistic
