Wow, great news! I did read on multiple threads that the officers mark the case as "Closed" when the certificate gets mailed. Nothing solid, but it appears that, once that status is reached, the certificate is on its way and takes 1-2 weeks.
Edit: I got "Closed" today as well! Here's to hoping I get my certificate soon as well! Are you going to apply from Montreal or bring it with you to New York and file from there?
Got an update on my Online Status tracker for Oath on Dec 18 but dint receive any Email notification.
Is this normal? if so, when can we anticipate the Email invite/instructions?
Finally ..the last update. Not sure when the Citizenship certificate will show up in my mailbox though.. Thanks Ottawa Office for fast response! (scarcasm)

In my case, I see my status tracker got updated on Dec 2nd mentioning Oath is scheduled for 18th Dec. However, I havent received any Email notification with Oath Ceremony instructions.
You don’t get any email notifications for any status changes you mentioned above. I would recommend sending webform request / calling them. My Background checks only got complete after sending webform request

Hi all, my status was updated yesterday to show oath ceremony is now in progress, scheduled for dec 21. Admins - would you be able to update the spreadsheet (and a big thank you for your enduring attention to this thread!!)

When soon? If it's in less than a week, give them a call the first thing Monday morning. IRCC is unreliable and clumsy probably because of old age, and it's plausible they may forget to send you the invitation on time. Also, make sure the invitation includes a zoom link. Someone received an invitation with no zoom link, contacted them and IRCC sent another invitation also without a zoom link, and only in the third time they included the link in the invitation.
