Now officially a Canadian Citizen! Took my Oath by virtual ceremony yesterday afternoon (Vancouver), along with 59 other people. Citizenship Certificate should arrive in 2-4 weeks and then on to passport application. Wishing everybody success in their ongoing applications.

Hi all - On Dec 2nd my Prohibitions, Physical Presence, and Language Skills were all updated to "Completed." My citizenship application status is still "In progress," and Citizenship ceremony is "Not started." Any insights on what this all means? Should I be expecting "Decision Made" soon, or could it still be a bit of a wait?

I dont think you will see Decision Made in the new tracker, its only on ecas that you see DM . All those parameters setting to completed are DM, Congrats! Try logging in on Ecas and you should see it there.

Now you have to wait to be scheduled for oath. Depending on your LVO, it could take a few weeks to months.

Oh thank you so much for clarifying! I had forgotten ECAS was separate from the new tracker. I just checked it and yep, Decision Made!

Congrats! Was there an option for an e-certificate?? IRCC has a portal that has an option to download e-certificate but I haven't seen anyone who was able to download the certificate yet..see https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/ottawa-applications.702017/post-9848652

Was not aware of any e-certificate, was just told it would be 2-4 weeks for it to arrive.

Quick question - is it normal that one's spouse gets a Citizenship test invite and one doesn't despite having applied together as a family?

Not trying to be pessimistic but a lot of people from Montreal had a 4-6 month wait post-DM before getting oath invite.

Same in Toronto. The oath ceremony is another challenge. I'm still waiting (Test - July, DM - September). You are lucky if it happens earlier.

Thank you! Actually, I am thinking the same. I barely heard anyone is getting an oath date shortly after the DM in Quebec. Even though some of my friends in Ontario got the oath date within 2 weeks of DM. But better to realistic than super optimistic.

I know at least one applicant (Dec 2020 applicant) who got oath invitation within a week from DM in the Montreal office. Not all applicants are equal in the eyes of IRCC

Congrats! And thanks for your wishes. I appreciate it. May I ask you to share your timeline after the test? e.g. test date, DM, Oath invite and Oath ceremony. Thanks!

I received my GCMS notes. It says "on Ceremony Ready Shelf" since September 3rd. Why doesnt someone pull it out of the shelf????
