Applied on the 27th of August and just received a message "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements". How long does it usually take from here?

I have the same timeline as yours, I applied on 27th August from Ontario with a fresh passport and my review started on 26th November but there is no approval yet. Please let me know once you get the approval.

You'll prob get a response today or tomorrow. CIC doesn't typically work on weekends and the 26th was Friday.

No offence but I dont understand the obsession with Application numbers here. This is primarily because of privacy and security reasons. Furthermore, there is no guarantee that the applications are being processed in order. If you've found someone approved who definitely applied after you, its not like you can sue the CIC. There are still people from June/July whose applications havent been approved yet. Ofc, we all hope to not be that unlucky but there should be no need for application numbers.

there is no obsession but to see if the files are going sequential or in a similar pattern , data gives hope. Human love hope!! thats all. Dont get irritated, you might see a lot of people asking for it.

I think you should wait for couple of days more, you will hopefully hear something soon.

now it’s been more than four months. (single applicant) and i put two web form and also sent email to my local MP
