DM is nowhere is sight for me. I'll probably be the last one in this group. Might as well start replying to my own comments to keep myself company hehe.
Ugh... imagine all the stress they could have saved you if an actual human being with a bit of empathy had simply replied "You will receive invite until we have made a decision on all applicants in your family group". There... one sentence, that's all it took hehe.
I see a lot of movement recently. Congrats to everyone

Someone applied after you by only one month and they still haven't received the test and their BG check expired. I am sure you can find some Oct 2019 in the same situation. This is to say, your situation maybe better than many others. You are one step from getting DM.

i cannot believe how and or why IRCC has taken that long with some files like the ones you mentioned. I heard about an applicant who got AOR in 2019 and nothing since. =/ It's ridiculous.
BTW.... do you have info on how that works for background checks? Mine was originally completed on January 24th 2020... I had understood they last for one year, is that correct? But do we have a way of easily knowing when they expired and when they were renewed, or is that only found on the GCMS detailed notes? I worry my background check might expire before I get DM.

That's correct. BG check is valid for one year. Since the 1st one was done in Jan 2020 for you, I assume the 2nd one was done between Jan-March 2021. But when exactly, you can only know by the GCMS notes (they should update the new tracker with this info to make it easier for us). I suspect if you get DM soon (which I believe it will happen to you), they will schedule you for the oath before your BG expires, because otherwise it will take another 2-3 months to update your clearance.
I can’t believe I am here to finally share this. On the day my decision made celebrates 7months, I’ll have my oath ceremony!
My husband was invited as well. So it seems that his application was holding mine back.

Congrats! When's your ceremony? My neighbour applied in August, 2019 and she's having the ceremony today! I assume I will need to wait 2 more months lol
Hi all!
I heard back from Mississauga office. Same BS about first in first out, covid delays. But I’m in queue for oath. I replied that there are people with decision made after me that had their oath already, which shows that fifo rule is not followed. Not sure they will reply again.

In case you need your passport, I strongly urge you request for Urgent Processing. I have heard of some folks who had to wait ~4 weeks before they got their citizenship certificate.

I'm not sure whether all BG checks are visible in GCMS. I ordered GCMS this summer, and the only thing that looks like a BG check dates back to Feb 2020. Nothing has a date around Feb 2021.
