Background check is something which has no timeline. Have patience and provide the requested documents which I think you have already submitted.
Follow the tracker to find applicants with a timeline similar to you.

Its been two weeks since I submitted all the documents asked by IRCC (Aadhar, Voter IDs, PCCs, Birth and Marriage certificates) - but did not hear anything back from IRCC. Are you folks also experiencing similar delays.

Did u not submit marriage certificate and birth certificate along with application? Why did they ask you to submit it again?

Did you send the remaining documents that were asked? I forgot to provide my mother's maiden name in 0008 but all my documents and her documents have same name which is there on the passport and there is no where mentioned of that maiden name.

I just sent updated supplementary travel form for the travels since the age of 18, pcc (father), voter id, adhar, matric cert, biometric validity letter. Rest was submitted along with application.

If you submitted marriage cert. and birth certi. along with application, why did they ask for new one. Was there any difference in name for your mother and father in those docs?

Anyone else with parents here in Canada successfully completed PCC acquisition from India?

What happens when parents are here and there is no one at the Indian residence address? Because we are receiving updates and text alerts that local police authorities will visit and verify address? Do they actually visit? For PCC? What if no one is at the address currently?

For me, what I understand is that marriage certificate of my parents was an old doc and wasn't that clear, and also in my mother's passport, my father's first name is spelled incorrectly. so I assume that's why they asked for additional documents

did u give your mother's maiden name in Imm008 form, where it asks if yuo have any other name?

I think I did not as my mum's maiden name is same before and after marriage.

The first applicant ( app rec on Feb 24, 2021 ) of 2020 on the tracking sheet (Shree2020) received PA DM (New Delhi VO) on Nov 15, 2021.

I think I did not as my mum's maiden name is same before and after marriage.

I did, apparently they asked for it again in a letter. So I provided it again. Hopefully they read it now. I feel like that letter is a fix template they are sending out to everyone - irrespective of the documents submitted earlier. Just a bunch of bumbling interns running the show I think.

Got it, my mom's surname got changed although her name was same, I selected as No in name change question. I hope there won't be any issues with that, since all her documents have the current name.
