Applied online: October 22, 2021
Eligibility review started: October 23, 2021 (the very next day)

since then nothing...! What do you think guys? Should I call the IRCC office or wait few more weeks.

The processing time for study permit extension is around 50 days. So, If you have applied on Oct 22nd, then I think you have to wait for sometime.

I applied for a new study permit, not an extension, from inside canada. My program level changed from Masters to PhD. My previous study permit was for 2 years which expired(Sept 2021). So, I applied for a new study permit (in July 2021) in order to continue my studies in PhD program.

I applied for new program my study permit got expired in august so i applied for study permit inside canada i submitted my file on August 4th i am still waiting there is no update on my file yet what do you think how much time it will take more. can you let me know please.

Hopefully, you will get soon. The processing time for new SP inside Canada is 15 weeks. I applied on July 28th and got the decision after almost 15 weeks. So, hopefully u will be getting soon now.

Hi, This group has been extremely helpful to me when I applying for my study permit extension in Canada. I was just approved today for my study permit extension, so I hope this can help you all.

So this is my timeline:

Study permit expiration date: 6 December 2021
Submitted application: 21st September 2021
Approved application: 11 November 2021

IRCC current processing time (11/11) is 50 days.
It was approved approximately ~ 49 days.

I have done my biometric in 2019, so it was still valid when I applied.
I have done an upfront medical exam to speed up the process, I strongly encourage you to do an upfront exam so that your application is complete. Make sure your application is free from error and complete.

I also encourage everyone to apply as early as possible, approximately 3 months before it expires. In case if it gets rejected, so you will have time to reapply.
