i see, its asking for an invite code though to register so m not sure. My case is the same as yours, work permit holder, job in hand and stuck in India. If there are any options that say reuniting with family members in Canada, id say go for that coz we do have family members be it friends or relatives.

Got Passport request for my parents on Nov 1. Applied from India through GC key.
Here is the timeline.
Application submitted - Sep 15
Biometrics instructions letter- Sep 16
Bimometrics submitted - Oct 18
PPR - Nov 1

Purpose of Travel: To provide support during delivery and postpartum
Supporting Documents provided :
1. Proof of vaccination.
2. Letter from Doctor.
3. Parents Financial documents
4. financial docs of mine and spouse.
5. Invite letter

Biometrics accepted: 4th Nov 21

PPR: 4th Nov 21

Funds proof were not submitted for anyone

Applied from India

Both sons are living outside India

Strong ties - Submitted their property and pension docs

Funds - $5000 for both to visit us for 6months, but no proof submitted

Can I apply for tourist visa for my parents if they don’t have strong financial background and properties back home? I have a high income and property here. Can I fully sponsor them?

Apply Supervisa.. Supervisa needs your status more. Visitor they check their status. I am in same boat as you, they dont have much ties back so i applied Supervisa.
