Just did. My medical status is still the same ‘January 14, 2021 You passed the medical exam’

Its valid from the date its passed by the Medical officer (Same date that is shown as medical passed in your profile). Not the date you actually got your medicals done at the panel physician ...

I thought the date starts from when the clinic sends the medical report to IRCC? There's a medical validity date indicated in the GCMS notes, and it's a few days after the medical exam.

Only in very rare cases, the validity start date would vary. Else in most of the cases, it would be valid for a year from the date its results are processed by a Health Canada Officer.

Not true. I had my medicals done in October 2020 and passed in February 2021 but they just expired last week. Now it just says "you don't need a medical exam"

An update of your medical date can be seen in your latest GCMS notes. It will have the medicals expiration date as Feb 2022.
