Can an international student in Canada use the new visitor's visa link to reapply for visitor's visa? The initial application was in Feb 2021 and CIC is yet to respond. The student has a valid study permit.

yes they can, they can also apply for post-graduation work permit

Reapply only if your situation has changed in any way OR if you haven't told IRCC earlier about your urgency to travel. This could be either by indicating purpose of travel as "Other - COVID-19" in your application form or by filling out a separate webform for travel exemption.

Literally had my third application sent across.
First : Feb 2021
Second: September 6th
Third: September 27th

No response at all. Followed your post and raised a travel exemption form, I hope luck favors me this time at least!

What did you say in your web form? Did you just state that you just upload a proof of vaccination?

i mentioned that they are fully vaccinated and are able to travel now and asked to prioritize and requested to consider and attach the COVID 19 certificates to their application.

And did you use the general information webform or the travel exempt webform?

Web forms were submitted 2 weeks earlier and this week i submitted travel exemption and both times included COVID 19 certificates

Anyone applied second time through gckey again got PPR request or waiting for one??

I reapplied through IRCC on 10 Sep, awaiting decision.

Still the same as they had holidays on Orange shirt day and Canadian Thanksgiving day

Hi guys,
First application - July 14
Second application - September 28
Update on first and second application - October 5 - received biometric validity letter and application withdrawn in first application
Ghost update on second application on October 5 - eligibility section changed to we are reviewing
October 8- got an email from Delhi immigration that my dad need to send his resume within ten days because he work with governme
October 9- sent his resume

October 14- received refund for the first application

no updates till now .. not sure whether they received the document required Or not .. the email told us to reply to the same email with the attachment ..

I got Medical Request and eligibility started today, submitted the application on 15th Sep. Now I think delaywas on my part, We should have done the Medical earlier, I thought because my spouse was in canada on 31st Jan and her visitor record is valid till 31st Oct 2021, she might not need a medical....this will delay her process by another 2 weeks, as medical appointments not available immediatley
