New Instructions from IRCC for applications before 7th Sep 2021

Eligibility review has started on Oct 14th.
App submitted on 4th Oct. Biometric completed on 12th Oct.
Applied for visitor visa less than 6 month for my mother in law and sister in law.
Does anyone know when we can expect the decision?

Not in the forum but a couple of people outside this forum. However, you have to contact using the email riyadh.visa@international.gc.ca to get a response and mention an Urgent processing request. They respond in 2-3 working days.

Same for other vis offices, for responses you have to contact via direct email.

Thanks for the info. Are you aware if one of these people that you have mentioned were able to get the PPR?

May I know which country you are applying from?

Did anyone here use the webform to expedite their application and they got their PPR?
I used this for my mum, but it looks like only the people that did the second application are getting responses.

Please advise.

Yes, a few have applied after Sep 7 after receiving these emails. However, haven't seen any approval yet but all are under 30 working days time. Will have a clearer picture after 2 weeks when that 30 working days time will end.

None, all requests were rejected saying will be processed in queue except for an emergency or special considerations. However, if they need to get files concluded faster they can re-apply.

So, some have re-applied and will need to wait for about 2 more weeks to conclude if they are really processing within 30 working days.

Need help from this forum ! i wish to renew Canada visitors for my wife and wish to apply new visitors visa for my 1 year old baby! Me and my wife currently hold a valid US B1/B2 Visa and i have a valid Canada TRV untill 2026. Do we use the new portal to apply or we use the gc key account?

Hi Guys,

I am assisting my father apply for TRV in the new portal. In one of of the questions its asking for employment activities/job for the past 10 years. Its a common questionnaire for everyone. My father has been running a manufacturing business since long time ago (more than 10 years).

1. However, I don't see an option for "Entrepreneur" or "Business" to choose? Should i select the closest position that matches my fathers role as a businessman?

2. In the optional documents its asking for an Employment Letter (current) Canadian employer details? my father does not have offer from canadian employer or requires to work here. Do i need to upload anything in that field or does everyone get that option and just avoids it?

Pls let me know as it will really help.

I am on 25th Business day. Applied for my wife’s visitor visa on 13 sep via portal (second application)
First one was on 17th Feb 2021 no response

I applied for Visitor Visa on 13th September through portal and received medical request day before yesterday. I didn't know they ask for medicals in Visitor application. Any comments?
