Canadian Passport - Mail-In Application Timelines

I received my certificate yesterday. Exactly 1 week after my ceremony. I’m now preparing my passport application. Are passport offices working on a walk-in basis? Or is it better to mail it? I’m planning to travel the last week of November.

Niagara Falls office. I booked an appointment fof my passport application at the Hamilton office.

Apply in person yesterday. Paid a regular fee and the receipt said passport will be mailed in 2 weeks.

Note I put down a potential travel date but I don't have any proof and they didn't ask.

Got my passport back today!

I got mine today! Full timeline:

• Posted my application from Toronto to Gatineau,QC on August 11th
• Credit card was charged on Sept 23rd
• Cert of Citizenship returned 29th
• Passport Arrived 1st October

Didn’t you play the driving to USA card? They can’t ask for proof. Start saying how come the website says 20 days. This is inaccurate and why should you be penalized for inaccurate information. Say, you could have walked in n all of accurate times were shown on the website. Ask them to make a note for faster processing.

No I didn't, I'm not in rush anyways, let's see till next next week

I have submitted my Passport Application in-person at Brampton, ON location and Service Officer told me that passport will arrive in mail within two weeks. She has put due date of mailing as Oct 19, 2021. Let's see what happen. I will keep you all posted with updates!

Anyone know if I can do a walk in without appointment ? I have filled the web form to schedule appointment but have not received a call yet. Need express service .. Preferably around Halton, Peel

My credit card got charged today (on a Sunday!). I sent my passport exactly 1 month ago on August 26th and it reached them August 30th. I called them 3-4 days ago and they said the processing time is 6 to 8 weeks. The credit card charge happened exactly after 20 business days.

I got my passport today (October 4). Exactly 5 weeks (25 business days) since they received my application. Citizenship certificate also came along with the passport. It was a regular application without any travel dates.

Dumb question - Do we have to sign above the line or below the line? Normally you sign above the line but there is a lot more space below the line.

Also, why do we have to fill in our address and emergency details by hand? They asked for this information in the passport application.

Yes..........You can. When I went to Brampton Passport Office to apply my passport, There were people standing in a queue without Appointment. The only thing is that Service Canada is providing first priority to people with appointment. People who standing in a line will have to wait longer to go inside the bulding.

Hi i have a question i can't find guarantor on my city , the only friends who are citizens are in other province , the website says https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...uments-references-guarantors.html#declaration theres something like Statutory Declaration in Lieu of Guarantor form and its possible to do that at canada services? someone has experience doing that? how it works ?
