Well... When you fellas land in Canada you'll see that the only thing Canada has to offer is peace. I'd also say stability but that's now in question. The country is lacking so many things and is so far behind USA and EU in fundamental aspects of life. So be ready to be surprised. Peace of mind is good though. FSW is literally the only reason i'm even considering Canada.
Honestly most of western EU seems to be so far ahead of the US. I am only choosing Canada because my entire network is american and half my belongs are still in the US. Peace of mind and proximity to the people I know is the only reason I am sticking with Canada. If those didn't factor into the equation, I'd have gone to EU a long time ago. What I'd give to be able to settle in the Netherlands. Those guys really have it figured out.
Program delivery update: COVID-19 – Permanent residence
September 28, 2021
The instructions have been updated to include additional instructions for the processing of permanent residence applications where the principal applicant or accompanying dependants are overseas, including instructions regarding immigration medical exam (IME) validity prior to finalization, while taking into consideration the travel restriction measures.
Updates have also been made to the instructions for approved permanent resident applicants with valid and expired Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) documents and permanent resident visas (PRVs).
Question to everyone waiting for PPRs/ITAs, will you forgive IRCC for their mistakes or continue to hold a grudge if you receive your PPR or ITA today?
It looks like they will finalize applications as indicated in their earlier memo regarding travel restrictions. Hopefully very good news soon for applicants with 3 months or more medical validity and a little later for everyone else.
I really doubt it. My country is slowly turning to a refugee situation. We all dread 2023 so much because the government would change power and things are likely going to escalate to never-before experienced catastrophic levels. Everyday counts now for us. People are leaving in scores. I don’t want to be here in 2023. This is why the scars may never heal due to IRCC’s decisions
It's for outland applicants for sure. Safe to say they will process our applications normally now. Medicals though, has to be valid for at least 6months prior to finalization. The documents @legalfalcon released a while ago seem to have explained everything now. Most of us from late 2020 and early 2021 will likely get medical extensions or re-medical requests prior to finalization. Good news all the same and we should be able to land by first quarter of 2022.

Pre-ITA outland here, alcohol in hand, ready to drink myself to sleep tonight. Even though I lie to myself and say that I don't have any expectations. Still hurts not hearing anything about draws.
