Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship 2018

Hello, Please i need your help.
So i just got an invitation to apply for PGS 2021, I realized that my parent passports have expired and getting a new passport might take more than 60 days, can i use the expired passport to apply for now and project IRCC with passport update when they get the new passport.
Kindly help please.

Yes apply using expired passport if you can not get renewed passport within 60 days timeline to submit the application.
if submitting expired passport, write an explanation and attach a proof that you applied for renewal of passport to satisfy the visa officer.
your parents passports are a requirement after you meet the first part of application which is Sponsorship approval which takes several months and you have ample time during the Sponsorship approval process to get renewed parents passports.

once you submit application with expired passports you can later send the renewed passport copy using the web form.

Hi Everyone, For Imm 5768 gross income and family size , how to answer this question ? I am single and applying for parents .. i know family size will be 3 but in the question employment history it also mentions family size, would it be 1 or 3 in that option ? also 2018+2019+2020 for gross income or seperately for each year with same employer

Did you apply in 2018?? Would be too late for this now. If you are applying in 2021, please ask in the correct discussion.
The rule for income requirement has been changing over the years. It's different now vs back in 2018.
(e.g. IRCC used to use the family size WHEN the application was submitted to calculate income for the previous 3 years. I think they changed it to be diff every year according to change of actual family size each year. )

And gross income is per year, seperately, in your NOA. They have never used an average or sum.

i received invitation for my parents yesterday and have few questions hoping to get some help

• income requirements - 2020 and 2019 is okay but 2018 i am sort 1500$ so wondering if still okay or not?
• i was single in 2018 so i should check for 3 person i guess , so co -sign won't help for 2018 i believe ??
• also was student earlier 2018 part so not sure that makes a difference ?

any thoughts help is much appreciated

If you applied in 2018, then your family size woulld have been 4 for all 3 years of the calculation. And yes, your wife can be the co-signer.
BUT well... that's how it was for 2018 PGP.

Hi All, we got PPR last week. And sending the passport via vfs 2 way service. Since we were not asked to do biometrics in the vfs consent form do we have to fill the details in section applicants willing to provide biometrics? Please help in this regard. Its bit confusing.

Could somebody please guide me what forms are required to be filled to submit to VFS in Islamabad, Pakistan?

I can't figure out the exact procedure from the CIC email.

My parents received passport request but along with that they received ' exemption from travel restriction letter' only for my brother who was a depdendent child in the child.
What does this mean?
Why would they send the letter exclusively for him and not for my parents as they are all together under one application?

Hi, I am in the exact same situation as you. My brother is dependent on the parents, and we had a PFL a while ago. Finally received the passport request but it didn't have any "exemption from travel restriction letter" that you received. The email is generic and requests passports of all accompanying family members. Did you find this letter was needed to come to Canada?
