That sounds terrible. The saddest part is that the people who applied in 2020 via online application already got their citizenship☹. But I also have a friend who applied in March 2019, and still, there is no decision for him☹.
That's really sad and the harsh reality is that its a long haul for most of the 2019 applicants. Its unfair how 2020 and 2021 are being processed faster but we really cannot change anything with that. A stroke of luck is needed for our files to be opened and processed from here on

IRCC cares only about their target KPI. 2019 applicants are officially the forgotten applicants because they no longer contribute to their KPI for 2019. It's utterly unfair and infuriating to use us as numbers to achieve their KPI only.

I randomly checked the citizenship tracker today and noticed that Language Test, Physical Presence and Prohibitions have been updated to Completed on July 9, 2021.
Previous update was on April 23, 2021, after the citizenship test, when my Citizenship Test and Background check status became complete on the tracker.
Hi everyone, I am waiting for my test invite but I am in Asia at the moment. I am worried that I will not have enough time to get back to Canada for the test when it's my turn. Is it possible to reschedule a test date? And how? Thank you for your help!
You can do the test from outside Canada. When you receive the invitation, reply to the email about your situation. At least that what the procedure was before.
I have been waiting for movement since April 26th no update after test. Last week my fingerprints also expired so I am thinking they will send me the fingerprint request but no email as of now. I was hoping to get done by November but seems like no luck.
Hi Guys, just to let you know that I also contacted my MP and below is her answer:
"I’d like to let you know that we’ve received an advisory by the IRCC to not send any inquiries until further notice due to the crises in Afghanistan."
I guess it will take another year for us......or even more. Who knows what will be the next excuse.
