Yes I have but I won’t call that a proper visit as it was our annual kick-off meeting and we spent all 4days in the hotel meeting room talking about projections for the year.

I have been working with South Africans four years and counting.

There is also one more clue that FSW will happen next week.
Take a loot on rounds of invitations from August 2020 and July 2020 when FSW resumed. There was also 2 weeks brake before FSW resumed and there were no draws in the mean time.

Hey guys, I just came across the below two articles regarding skilled workers requirements in Germany

Especially in the first article I found this point to be very interesting - “The new law has stripped away a key regulation: That people from outside the EU can only take a job if there is no German or EU citizen who is able to do it instead.” This law came into place on March 1st 2020.

The new law has also brought in certain further improvements for the job seeker visa.

While I have always heard that knowledge of German is a key requirement for jobs there and it’s generally difficult to get jobs from outside, has anyone here thought of exploring this as a possible option especially those from non - EU countries? Was just wondering if it’s a viable option.

Wrong. I have many friends who found skilled jobs (unlike those silly survival jobs in Canada) in Germany without speaking a single word of German BEFORE moving to Germany. They searched for their jobs either online or through various networks, did their interviews online or on the phone, and got high paying skilled jobs in STEM.

Germany is looking to open up for skilled immigrants. Same for UK. A few other EU countries are quite open too. These countries accept ALL of your international experience if it is relevant and don't give you an equivalent of the silly "but do you have Canadian experience?".

This is what I was trying to say. Canada is #1 destination for skilled immigrants IF AND ONLY IF there's FSW. Without FSW, Canada is the worst because the job market is small, there aren't enough skilled jobs, pay is usually low, housing is crazy, distance is great, and you gotta pay 100 THOUSAND CAD and waste TWO YEARS on a stupid degree to get a PR in 3 years. Any other path Canada offers other than FSW is just stupid. Much better options out there.

English in the Netherlands is really good, to my knowledge. So, perhaps it's a good idea to look into NL if folks want other options. I have absolutely no idea how their immigration system works though.

Hahaha almost everyone loves Afrobeats. We’ve seen artists like Drake, Beyonce, Chris breezy, Da Baby and the likes vibing and collaborating with Nigerian artists

Yeah one of my friends was talking about Netherlands too. Though haven’t researched much on that as yet. Wasn’t really aware that they are looking out for skilled immigrants as such.

Yeah! So cool. I like Ajebutter22, Olamide, Wande Cole, Burna Boy, Mr Eazi, Wizkid, Maleek Berry, Yemi Alade... so many great artists! Ghana and Nigeria really have given us such a great genre.
