Pretty much all FSW applications being processed at London VO have the same status. They initiated security for most apps between June and August and now majority apps are awaiting final approval and PPR issuance.
What baffles me is why all these finalized apps are kept lined up for review by an officer without any action for months on end. Like how are these guys going to get through that insane backlog at this VO.
The very idea of the express entry is to invite “Highly Skilled” people to come to Canada. By now we all know the skill level of “CEC” candidates. So thinking that any governemnt will end FSW is bs. Also, FSW is one of the 3 categories of the Express entry. So as long as Express entry stays, FSW will be there.
The liberal party is saying that they will give more pathways for temporary workers and international students even who have left the country to become permanent residents through Express Entry which simply means more CRS points for them.
It seems to happen to every one of these threads. I assume the stress and waiting gets to lots of people here, and they start getting annoyed with Canada and each other. Then the conversations aren't constructive. It's a shame. It's why I'm not as active here as I used to be.

Yeah, I hope they've got this pile of apps that they're just planning on finalizing really quickly with some final checks, and then many of us get PR simultaneously. That would be ideal, though I obviously have no idea how likely it is. Let's see what the border reopening tomorrow brings! Hopefully much positivity for FSW-Os.
Why would they cancel any streams? FSW will likely be kept but very few people will have high enough score to get invited. Last time applications were put in endless limbo of backlog without any processing and were eventually cancelled, there is no guarantee that this will not repeat again. There are people waiting for almost 2 years now for a 6 months process.

They are already doing that with CEC draws and TR to PR pathway. High skilled, low skilled, any skilled means nothing.
