You are eligible, you don't need an employer for this new open work permit. You need AOR (or XEP, we don't know yet) and CSQ.
Your current PR application will be in progress, but it will be changed from `Inland` to `Outland` status.
Thank you.

If I just want to leave Canada temporarily, its still gonna be outland?

Also, how does it effect on the whole process if it changes from inland to outland?

Oh, temporarily it's fine, as soon as you don't change your permanent address.
Yes, outland applicants wait much longer right now.

I asked a friend. She said it will take one day to process the information we sent them to create the account.
And after we upload the required information and photo in the account, another business day to get eCoPR letter.

Cool. And after ecopr? We have to go to port of entry for PR card? Also what are the benefits of ecopr for inland applicants?

Hello all,

I have sent my PR application for federal stage last August. They received my application on 24th August 2020 and I received the temporary file number on 20 October 2020. I’m still waiting for the permanent one, which I think you call AOR!

Now, I need to leave Canada soon. But I’m worried a lot about my application. My PGWP is also gonna be expired on DEC 2021.
I’m not even sure that they will still process my application after I leave canada. Or how much more its gonna take the rest of the process. As I said I will have no status after DEC 2021to back to Canada.

I know that they said about an open work permit. But I am unemployed right now and not sure if I would be eligible for that or not!

I really appreciate it if anyone could help me in this case to figure whether my application will be still in process if I leave Canada or not!
Did you apply for PGWP extension under public policy (no need any job offer or be in any job for that)??

No, I wasn't eligible for that extension. You were eligible if only your current PGWP will be expired until 27th NOV 2020. Mine is in DEC 2020.

Hi everyone, I received my FN last night around midnight and I already update my timeline below.
I tried to link the application with myCIC account at that moment but it shows the file cannot find out, then it works when I tried this afternoon.
Here I have a question: FN and AOR are the same thing? If not, what is the difference between them?

I received Pre-Arrival letter today but no Medical Request yet
Have you done any medical in the past? Maybe you are under the new temporary policy.
