At this stage, nobody knows what is normal, all we can do is wait. You can check old ECAS, if you are able to find the information there, it means they have sent AOR and it probably went to your junk or your email address may be incorrect, if the information is not found in ECAS then that means that you need to keep waiting!!!

I just checked my ECAS and it's updated to "In Process", and the update is dated August 16. @Strongfaith42 , I would appreciate it if you update the spreadsheet

Quick note: the new dashboard still shows everything "In Progress" (obviously except for test and ceremony which are "Not Started")

So this is the first one in April application he got he back ground check completed.
So do we expect that they started now in April ?

Everything could happen with IRCC, and all is tight to the AOR date and local office processing the application.

ECAS shows the update was on August 16 and BG completed showed up in new dashboard on August 18.

Congrats! Looks like you are the first April online applicant to receive AOR. Seems like online applications are finally catching up with paper.

I had called them last week as I noticed the big difference between days taken to issue the AOR between online and paper applications. They said they were aware of the issue and they acknowledged there was a backlog of online applications but they were addressing it and that it "won't lead to a delay in the process vs a paper application". I guess that remains to be seen but good to see they are starting to issue the AORs at least.
