Medical passed and biometric(exempt) updated for me (PA) on March 16.
July 08 2021:Got a request letter in CIC account to pay biometric fees for my spouse even though i paid that fees while submitting the application.
July 08 2021: Paid biometric and uploaded receipt.
July 12 2021: Got Biometric collection letter for souse
July 23 2021: Wife completed biometric and details got updated in cic account.
Now the strange part
July 29 2021: Got a medical request for spouse. We both did upfront medicals and provided them while submitting the application. Medical is still valid till Jan 2022. It's a normal medical request with IME number and not a re-medical. Medical status changed from "Passed" to "We have requested a medical exam. Check your messages below for details ".

I called IRCC, client support agent said we don't need to comply with the medical request since they can see upfront medicals on our file and the agent will pass on a note to the visa officer about this. My wife even raised a webform attaching upfront medicals.
CIC account still shows "Your action is required" as status.
To be on the safe side, booked another medicals for my wife.

Did anybody had the same situation?

Most of outland dependents are getting ready medicals request especially covid hot spots countries

Same situation. Got a medical req for my Outland spouse. Medical is completed last Saturday, status is still “your action is required “ . Hopefully it will be update day the end of this week. And yes even my spouse’s medical is valid but still got a req to complete medical again.

I didn’t get any update regarding my (PA) medical extension. Just got a letter for my spouse’s medical. So I am not sure if mine is extended or not

its mean your medical have expired so now they are reviewing it, whether they will extend it or ask for re-medical

Looking at the trend, mostly your dependent has to do it again.

I didn’t get any update regarding my (PA) medical extension. Just got a letter for my spouse’s medical. So I am not sure if mine is extended or not

It took almost 2 weeks after my dependent finished re-medical that the status in the account changed to "submitted".

My medicals expired on 25 July and my wife even did her re medicals .. they haven’t sent me anything yet regarding extension.. these folks are sleeping
