I see people waiting for 1 month for their certificate? I asked my official to expedite sending of my certificate, so hoping to receive it sooner. Let’s see what happens.. I’ll come here with an update
In your letter, there is an item should read as following:
"Once we have received your signed Oath or Affirmation of Citizenship form, and signed the Solemn Declaration form (if applicable), you will be sent your paper citizenship certificate by regular mail within 2 to 4 weeks. Should you require your citizenship information sooner than this, please contact us."
Do you mind sharing which office your application is being processed?
I’ve been sending emails to Ottawa Office for about 3 weeks. IRCC call Centre sent a message directly to the agent taking care of my case (JT). Still no action to close my file for 3 weeks.
Call Centre agent informed me that my certificate is in queue for printing for 8 weeks. It’s been 7 weeks since my Oath Ceremony. This tells me that it goes on queue for printing when you move to the stage of Oath scheduling. Because my file is still “in-progress” I am sitting in the queue for printing.
The only possible explanation for JT not closing my file is this person is out of office on leave or vacation. Therefore, any message sent will go to the inbox of someone that is out of the office atm. JT will likely return to the office on August.
