Looks like DMs are moving along. I see that the first half of 2020 are getting more DMs every day. Hopefully we will see more movement towards the end of August!

Well not sure about other provinces but in Ontario, city announced that at least 70% people have received 2nd dose of COVID-19 vaccine. Numbers are stable even after re-opening everything. So, I am guessing they are planning to arrange in-person oath at least. Whatever it is, overall process is not slow which is good. We all know its a waiting game. I just hope we have that amount of patience after all these.

My MP came down for a door to door feedback - asking about vaccination and any issues that we have and i did tell her that Citizenship is slow......she just said she is raising this as a concern overall and moved on....

Yeah, I'm not expecting a miracle out of it, but I did hint at the idea that should there actually be a fall election (like the news pundits are stating that the LPC is leaning towards doing), what is happening at the moment, in some ways, is tantamount to voter suppression (seeing as we're not citizens yet purely due to paperwork and denied a part in the democratic process which a citizen would be privileged to).

Of course, it's a bit of a stretch (even if it's a valid point to make), but it's exactly the sort of media-frenzy inducing line that could also spur action because that's a hell of a claim to make.

I was just discussing the Citizenship Application Form with a friend and just realized I only sent the biographical pages of my passport. I did not include the visas stamped pages on the passport. I travelled twice outside of canada for a total of 2 weeks. Once to my home country and the second time to the country I used to reside in before I became a PR. Will that effect my application or will it be returned? My status shows my background check is complete but everything else is pending.

Hi an update!

Signed into status tracker a few minutes ago and it has been updated as of July 29th 2021. I am scheduled to take the citizenship test online between Aug 4 and Aug 25, 2021. And Citizenship test has been updated to In Process!

Now I am both nervous and excited! I only just started reading the discover Canada book and am in a weekly class that helps you study for the citizenship exam provided for free by the immigrant center here in Winnipeg. Feel not prepared. But going to get into it now! Any advice or tips will be appreciated! Thanks!

When did you send your application? It became required late June 2021 I believe. If you sent it before that, most likely you are fine. The fact that they didn't returned your application and updated your background indicates you submitted the application before the change
