Hey all,

Iam FSW-O with aor august 10 2020, recently my medical expired and they updated portal “medical not required”.
I usually send one webform every-month to inquire about background check , security and criminality and the generic reply is always the same except for this time where they stated that my background verification are currently valid and the other have not been initiated.
Does this reply indicate an actual movement in the application ?

July 22 2021 Status:

• The background verifications are currently valid.
• The security background verification has not been initiated.
• The criminal background verification is currently valid.

I’ve got this same “valid” reply before. They like to mess with us, my security hadn’t started 8 months back and hasn’t started now either. You should trust your gcms notes only, not webform responses.

At this point we may be just a 2 more months away I am guessing or even less. Don't want to request GCMS Notes.

I’ve got this same “valid” reply before. They like to mess with us, my security hadn’t started 8 months back and hasn’t started now either. You should trust your gcms notes only, not webform responses.

Trust me bruh, Canadian Immi system is all fuc*** Up right now. Webforms/Notes do no good either, I'm saying this out of my personal experiece (My recent GCMS notes response July 24 remains unchanged from FEb 2021.)

Yes at least you guys who came in later, have your medicals valid. Also I think IRCC will be processing application based on biometrics submission. Biometrics in India was opened only in last week of feb 2021.

The summary at the top changed from "You passed the medical exam..." to "We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you."

The medicals section has been updated to "You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes."

Does anyone know if this means I have been given a medical extension?

Its a automated message you receive when your medical has expired. When did you complete your medicals last year?

No this is medicals expiry. You’ll have to call them or see notes to check whether they will extend or send a remedical request

I've raised a webform asking for confirmation if re-medicals are required.

If they are, I'm thinking to hold off getting the remeds until things start moving again, assuming that won't delay my application being processed.

I am in the same state with Medicals expired. If they reply please post it here. They haven't asked to do re-med. My medical expired in march.

I think there is time limit on re-medicals make sure you are not crossing that time limit.
