I got Decision made on ecas. What does that mean?

That means you can go for partying ! Congrats. You should get an email tomorrow for Portal. Reply to that email. Then you get portal login details where you can upload PR photos. Get those PR photos ready.

Portal is not perfect. Please keep that in mind. The only thing I see consistent is when GCKey says "Approved" for PR Card application (starting with Rxxxxxxxx), that is the day the PR card gets shipped. You will even get a GU one day before I guess. Waiting for it next. I cannot link my spouse application in GC Key. But can link mine and kiddos in GCKey without any issues.

Do we have to link our portal account to the gc key or its already linked ?

I can only access eCOPR from the Portal. Not from GCKey. GCKey only shows the COPR number.

You need to manually link PR card inside GCkey. The only reason to link is to track the status of PR card (shipped or not)

It shows Approved. Date of background check complete shows up. It's a junk date of criminality passed. Mine was 1 year old. Progress bar gets to 100% and COPR numbers shows up inside the application. However, there is no way to download eCOPR from GCKey. The application wont change after this point.

The PR card application that you now link is a fresh application (for each family member) and does not have a progress bar and shows "Submitted". Before it shows "Approved", its virtually useless and you cannot track anything. The messages inside this PR card application are garbage values and not designed for this.

Check your spam. if not, please call them and/or raise webform. If you have given company email (very bad idea), check with your admin. Email comes from

Client Portal / Portail Client (IRCC) <IRCC.ClientPortal-PortailClient.IRCC@cic.gc.ca>

If your VO is Ottawa, check back next year

For me, the local VO Etobicoke sent the portal details. The eCOPR is not sent in email. It will be uploaded to portal and you get auto generated email from portal.
