I am Montreal applicant Aug 2019. sitting since 23 months now. It is cone season in Montreal and things do get slow. The problem is not only construction vaccation but also the IRCC montreal office is trying to figure out which pandemic are they going through Covid 19, 20 or 21 , even covid is confused that they cannot make up their mind.
I think in 699 they are about to add a special Clause for Montreal IRCC officers who get injured due to pot holes and grievances caused by road closures.
honestly , i do not believe anything on the Govt website anymore, they lie lie and lie. My country of origin is a developing country and i got my passport renewed ,shipped and received within 6 days from the other side of the world and this developed country cannot process an application. I do not know about waves but im gonna create a wave of requests for GCMS notes. 3-4 days i get one , next month on the way going to order another one soon.
I called ircc start of June ,told me to wait for test . But again some nov people got fp request too while bg in process , also wrt test outside Canada , email to take test do mention that test can be taken outside Canada . That is what someone told me , if someone can share a snap shot that can actually confirm this fact ,at least one can travel if needed

Yes, i give bribe as money in my country to move the file from one desk to other and here i give my time as bribe to cic. No difference in both cases in terms of value but big difference is that i can get work done within time in my country but here no control within cic.

I understand the frustration but you cannot justify bribe at any cost. I know we don't see the method to the madness but i am sure CIC has some internal guidelines which is causing the never ending delays without us able to find the pattern. If you ask me whether their process is efficient, i dont think so and there is a huge scope for improvement and transparency. CIC is still a government organization after all.......

Does anyone know if it's possible to emigrate Canada while a citizenship application is in progress and only come back for oath? Assuming the address on file with IRCC remains valid (i.e. lawyer's office)
