I understand the frustration. Unfortunately IRCC is not very organized for this new program.
But it could be a chance.
See the completeness check for EE. It is very struct. Most of documents are due on application.
But for this stream, many people got AoR after very simple check and have not got inquiry. So people have time to rectify BEFORE IRCC notices defects in applications.
Of course, many of our mistakes were caused by the rushed schedule (application details were disclosed one day before the beginning of application).
But anyway, we have some "chance" in exchange for the weird schedule.
And, as proven, the processing time is much shorter than other programs.
So don't be controlled by anxiety for something invisible. Let's focus on what we should
IRCC can settle some anxiety by allowing work permit extensions for tr to pr applicants. nobody wants to sit idle without a job on visitor status while waiting on Ecopr. Some of us have a family to feed. also, we cannot travel outside Canada. That's inexplicable. Anxiety is genuine.
No...They are giving AOR to those who have Outland spouse as well..
My friend got the AOR...so don't worry..
Stay Positive!!!

I understand. But how did you plan to stay in Canada in the first place?
Your work permit might expire regardless of TR to PR program.
If you need a bridge visa you could find another PR program. Otherwise, you had no chance without TR/PR.
Do not blame all things to TR to PR.
You might have hardship, for example, reduced work hours due to COVID and it made difficult to apply for other PR program. I understand that it is possible.
I have no intention to offend you, but your current issue is not due to delay for TR to PR program, I think.

I think they will allow for WP extension. This is from the AOR letter I received this morning "Certain applicants may be eligible for an open work permit if they meet the requirements of the program. Information about the eligibility criteria will soon become available on the IRCC website."

personally, I am not affected by the long delay....but I am just sharing the plight of people I know. tr to pr was supposed to regularize people who are not covered by express entry and they risked their lives to support the Canadian economy during the pandemic. at least that's what IMM minister said -
. and if these people lose their worker status while waiting on copr then that would be counterintuitive.
We all have the right to highlight loopholes in state policies/decisions, there is nothing to be offended about.
I hope IRCC is going to fix the work permit extension thing soon.

Agree.
I think this way, for me, Tr2Pr is only a surprised bonus. With or without Tr2Pr, I still have to deal with the rest, applied for new WP, keep working for CEC (also to pay bills). I dont plan to travel anywhere at this time because of Covid-19 etc.... It helps me to relax a little bit, then just be patience. I don't blame IRCC (as foreign nationals, no one can do anything to change it).
*IRCC gave one-time extension to WP to 18 months to everyone. Mine will be expired on July 2022 . Hope things are going on time

I applied around 12:14 PM EST still waiting, I think they have started offering AOR with respect to Postal Code. Since, some of my friend applied around 12:30 and they got AORs
